| the disintegration raction. This phosphoryl- |

|
| transfer reaction can be carried our by the |
|
|
| catalytic core fo IN alone. And this peptide |

| was found to inhibit this reacton, suggestion |
|
|
| that the hexapeptide acts at or near the |
|
|
| catalytic site of IN. Indetification of an IN |
|
|
| hexapeptide inhibitor provides proof of |
|
|
| concept for the approach, and , norover, this |
|
|
| petide may be useful for structure-function |
|
|
| analysis of IN. |
